Dr. Bobby Polyzopoulos, Pastor
Dr. Polyzopoulos was born in Montreal, Canada, in 1970 to Greek immigrants. Both his parents accepted Christ as their Savior in 1976, and he in 1985. He graduated from McGill University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1993. In 1995 he helped start Bible Baptist Church in Laval, Canada. About 2 years after marrying his wife, Annette, he moved to Tampa, FL, in 2001 where he served as a deacon of First Baptist Church of Land O’ Lakes. He also worked in the Children’s Church program and preached in a local nursing home.
While working in the business world, Dr. Polyzopoulos continued his education both in Engineering and Theology. He received a Master’s of Divinity from Andersonville Theological Seminary in 2004 and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Walden University in 2006. In 2017 he earned his Doctorate degree in Theology from Andersonville Theological Seminary.
Working, studying and serving in the local church has been the hallmark of Dr. Polyzopoulos’ life. In 2003 Dr. Polyzopoulos moved to Greenville, South Carolina, where he served as a deacon and youth director of Tabernacle Baptist Church. In 2008 Dr. Polyzopoulos moved to Orlando, FL, where he is serving as a deacon of Lighthouse Baptist Church and preaching at a local nursing home. Recently, the Lord has laid on his heart the desire to reach the community of Wedgefield, FL, for Christ. In 2018 Dr. Polyzopoulos launched the start of East Orlando Baptist Church.
Dr. Polyzopoulos and his wife have four children, Nathaniel, Andrew, Justin, and Amanda Grace.
